Pillows and directions

I have wondered for the past year when Luke would start to use a pillow and how that transition would go. He is 2 years and 3 months old and I thought it would be much more comfortable to sleep with a pillow. Well I found out this weekend. One night as I was putting Luke to bed he was pointing at an Aggie pillow and saying "want that" He has a new habit for asking for random things in his crib before he goes to bed, so I wondered if he really wanted to use it or just wanted it in the crib. To my amazement he put the pillow down and laid his head on it. So the next night I put a real pillow off the guest bed in his crib and he has used it ever since. I was really shocked that when I checked on him before going to bed his head was still on the pillow, even though he turned it and himself sideways in his bed. Even more shocking was that in the morning when I went to wake him up he was still on the pillow. I guess the transition I fretted about for almost a year is done. Now we just have the transition to the toddler bed and using the potty. Lets hope those go just as easily!

Luke also decided this weekend that he would begin to give the driver in the car directions as to which way to go. The best part is how hurt or upset he gets when you don't go his way. Scott was the one who figured out what Luke was saying. It is cute a first, but then turns not so cute in a hurry. He is definitely opinionated.
